Assembly, door and special signs
Assembly point, door and special signs form the final metre of an evacuation system: once someone has found the escape route, these signs tell them how to open the door and where to go after leaving the building. In practice the hesitation happens exactly here — is the door pushed or pulled, does it slide, does the glass need breaking. A small but precise pictogram settles that question at a glance.
The signs are intended for public buildings, shopping centres, hotels, hospital departments, schools and universities, and office and industrial blocks. Door operation signs also indicate the side, left or right, so nobody applies force in the wrong direction. The assembly point sign (E21) is mounted outside in a visible position and gathers everyone at one place, which speeds up roll-call and identifying who is missing. A separate accessible route sign marks the path a wheelchair can take.
- Assembly point sign (E21) — for outdoor mounting
- Door operation indicators: push, pull, slide
- Break glass sign (E50) — emergency access
- Accessible route sign — the path suitable for a wheelchair
When choosing, account for the door type and opening side, mounting height (door signs sit close to handle level), weather resistance for outdoor signs, and whether visibility in darkness is required. The assembly point is determined together with the evacuation plan — solutions are selected taking accessibility norm requirements into account. We will assemble the sign set from your building plan — request a free consultation.
