Information and mandatory signs

Information and mandatory signs carry a white pictogram on a blue background and formally declare what provision a site offers. They do two things at once: they tell visitors a service exists, and they establish the requirement that the place be used for that purpose. An entrance or cubicle marked with the accessibility symbol, for example, counts as designated for exactly that use.

The signs are intended for government offices, banks and service centres, retail complexes, hospitals and clinics, museums and theatres, and educational institutions. The classic blue accessibility symbol (ISO M015) marks entrances, lifts, washrooms and parking bays. The induction hearing zone sign (ISO M016) carries particular weight: if someone using a hearing aid does not see this sign, they will never know the hall has a hearing loop and will not benefit from it.

  • Accessibility symbol — classic blue (ISO M015)
  • Induction hearing zone sign — hearing loop (ISO M016)
  • Blue plates marking entrances, lifts and washrooms
  • Versions for indoor and outdoor placement

When choosing, account for a size matched to the viewing distance, mounting height and field of view, the material (weather resistance outdoors), and whether an illuminated version is needed. A sign belongs where the equipment genuinely exists — a wrongly placed sign misleads visitors, so solutions are selected taking accessibility norm requirements into account. We will put together the sign set for your site — request a free consultation.
