Evacuation information signs (green background, white pictogram)

Evacuation information signs carry a white pictogram on a green background and mark the points connected with safety and assistance. In the international system green has one meaning: this is not a prohibition or a warning but a safe condition and a direction towards help. They should therefore not be confused with red or yellow signs — the colour code itself is the first layer of information.

The signs are intended for public buildings, shopping centres, hotels and hospitals, railway stations and airports, educational institutions, and office and industrial blocks. The information point sign (E022 under ISO 7010) shows a visitor where they can get information, ask for directions or wait for assistance — a key point for someone who cannot orient themselves in an unfamiliar building. The sign is placed within the field of view, above a door or a reception desk, sized to the viewing distance.

  • Information point sign — green letter i (ISO 7010 E022)
  • Safety information signs: white pictogram on a green background
  • Indicators for mounting above a passage or reception desk
  • Photoluminescent and illuminated versions

When choosing, account for the viewing distance (which sets the sign size), mounting height and field of view, lighting levels, and whether visibility is required during a power failure. The sign is planned as part of one system together with evacuation direction indicators — solutions are selected taking accessibility norm requirements into account. We will draw up the sign placement layout — request a free consultation.
