Warning and transport signs for people with reduced mobility
Accessibility warning and traffic signs carry a black pictogram on a yellow background and mark a hazard zone or a zone needing extra attention. They work in both directions: they warn a person with a disability about a change in level or a ramp ahead, and they tell drivers and other people that someone moving slowly or someone who is blind may be crossing here.
The signs are intended for the entrance areas of public buildings, car parks, internal site roadways, hospitals and rehabilitation centres, educational institutions, parks and pedestrian zones. Yellow is not an arbitrary choice: it has the highest conspicuity and stands out against a dark background even for a partially sighted person. Ramp direction signs are supplied in left and right versions, so the sign states precisely which side the descent is on and does not send anyone the wrong way.
- Signs warning of accessible movement along a tactile route
- Blind pedestrian with a cane — warning pictogram for drivers
- Ramp descent: left and right direction indicators
- Yellow signs for stair descent and fall hazard
When choosing, account for sighting distance and sign size, mounting height and angle, indoor or outdoor placement, and the direction variant (left or right). A warning sign must be visible before the hazard, while a person still has time to stop and decide — solutions are selected taking accessibility norm requirements into account. We will position the signs across your site plan — request a free consultation.
