Tilting and swivel mirrors for accessible washrooms are sanitary mirrors with an adjustable angle, designed for a seated user. A conventional fixed mirror shows a wheelchair user only the ceiling or the wall, which is of no use. A tilting mirror angles down by 10-20 degrees and brings the reflected zone to the eye level of a seated person, making it possible to wash, comb hair or shave without assistance.
These mirrors are intended for accessible washrooms, hospital and rehabilitation centre rooms, hotel rooms, care homes and the sanitary facilities of public buildings. A lever-operated model lets the user change the angle themselves, so the same cubicle works both seated and standing. The stainless steel frame does not corrode in a damp environment, fixings are concealed, and a swivel-arm construction allows the mirror to be turned towards the user.
- Swivel accessible mirror — arm-mounted, variable angle
- Tilting mirror with lever control — adjusted by the user
- Moisture-resistant models in a stainless steel frame
- Above-basin mirrors with concealed fixings
When choosing, consider the mirror size, the height of its lower edge above the basin, the wall material, and how the angle is adjusted (by hand or by lever). In a cubicle the mirror position is planned together with the support rail and the mixer — solutions are selected taking accessibility norm requirements into account.
