The stair platform lift is an inclined lift designed for safely raising and lowering people in wheelchairs along a staircase. The platform moves along strong rails beside the stairs; when not in use, it folds and presses against the wall, so others can use the stairs freely. The lift has a wide non-slip platform, raising/lowering guard panels and a safety barrier — ensuring the wheelchair is held in place during movement. The platform edges have automatically raising ramps (for entry and exit). Control is via bright coloured buttons (green/yellow/red), an emergency stop button and a key; a separate control post is also included.
