Disabled parking kit — 3 components

Full marking of disabled spaces in the parking of a government institution, shopping centre, hotel, private business — a vertical overhead sign + road-surface marking (applied with a stencil).

A kit of 3 components:

  1. An overhead disabled parking sign — a blue metal plate, a white «P» + a wheelchair. Size 600×600 or 700×700 mm, galvanised steel 1.5mm, a white + blue reflective surface. A post on a separate order (black, height 3m).
  2. A stencil — a plastic template for applying a mark on the road surface. 700×700 mm PVC 2mm (reusable). Pattern: a wheelchair + a frame. Set: 1 disabled, often + 1 «P» stencil.
  3. Spray paint (Ultima brand) — an aerosol can 400-500 ml, white. Specially for road-surface marking (quick-drying, water-resistant). Bundled brand: Ultima — a road-surface marking spray brand.

SP 59.13330.2020 requirements:

  • 10% of parking spaces reserved for the disabled (at every parking)
  • Disabled space size: 3.6×6.0 m (larger than the standard 2.5×5.0 m — for wheelchair passage)
  • A vertical sign is MANDATORY (with an overhead post)
  • Surface marking is MANDATORY (a white disabled symbol)
  • Traffic rules: other cars cannot park — a fine

What sizes is the sign produced in?
Standard sizes are available and custom sizes are produced on request. The greater the viewing distance, the larger the sign and its lettering must be — this is the main condition for readability. Yes. Signs are produced with raised text and Braille so that people with visual impairments can read the information by touch. Where is the sign installed?
Next to room doors, at corridor turns, in front of lifts and along evacuation routes. The usual height is 120-160 cm from the floor — within arm's reach and at eye level. A sign beside a door should not be placed on the side the door opens towards. Installation can be included in the price.
