A specialist's office sign with floor number and pictogram. Naming a specialist room precisely and in full matters: a patient usually compares the wording on their referral with the plate on the door, so the full name is used rather than an abbreviation.
The sign works in three layers: large high-contrast text for a partially sighted person, raised relief letters and pictograms for recognition by touch, and Braille dots for a fully blind user. One plate therefore serves visitors with very different levels of vision equally, and no companion is needed.
