The call receiver (digital LED display, host) is the "brain" of the wireless call system. It receives signals from all call buttons and shows on a large LED display, by number, which button (which ward, table or room) called. At the same time it gives a sound signal — so the staff member does not miss a call. The display shows a main large digit (the call address/number) and additional small digits; the word "Call" indicates an incoming call. The housing has a telescopic antenna (increases reception range), setting buttons on the side (volume, melody, mode), a DC power connector, and at the back both holes for hanging on a wall and a stand for placing on a desk — so it can be both hung on a wall and placed on a desk. Many call buttons can be linked to one receiver (each assigned its own number). This makes it ideal for hospital posts, a waiter station in a restaurant, a nursing-home control point and service centres — because all calls can be monitored from one place. The device is powered via a DC adapter and works over wireless (radio) communication. It works as a single system with our call buttons and SOS buttons. How does the call system work?
When the button is pressed, a signal is sent to the receiver and staff are alerted by sound and light indication. Wireless models need no wall chasing or cabling, so installation is quick. Several buttons and receivers can be connected to one system, each identified by its own number.
What is the signal range?
Typically 50-100 metres in open space; concrete walls and metal partitions noticeably reduce the distance. For large or multi-storey buildings an additional receiver or repeater is installed. What power supply is needed and how is it installed?
The buttons run on batteries, which usually last several years and are easy to replace. The receiver connects to mains power. Installation is most often completed within a single day. After commissioning, staff receive a short briefing on use and the warranty document is handed over.
What standards does the product comply with?
It is manufactured in line with the current construction norms and state standards for adapting the environment for people with disabilities. This matters when a site is handed over and inspected, because accessibility work has to be documented.
