Ramp for the disabled — modular (aluminium chequered + with handrails)

Purpose: overcoming a height difference for a wheelchair user — a door threshold, a small staircase, an entrance step, a vehicle (bus, minibus).

Construction components:

  • Base: an aluminium chequered plate (or steel — heavier, stronger)
  • Side frames: an aluminium square profile 40×40 mm
  • Handrails: AISI 304 stainless steel ⌀ 32 mm (on both sides)
  • Handrail height: 900 mm (an SP 59 requirement)
  • Anti-slip surface: a chequered relief pattern (DIN 51097 R10 class)

Modular system:

  • Length variants: 1.5m / 2m / 3m / 4m / 5m + custom

What slope is the ramp installed at?
The required slope for public buildings is 1:12 — every 1 cm of rise needs 12 cm of ramp length. The «Ramp for the disabled» model is designed to meet this requirement. What load capacity does the ramp have?
Standard models support up to 300 kg and reinforced versions up to 500 kg. That leaves a safe margin for the wheelchair, an assistant and extra load.
