Description

The fold-up grab bar is a practical support device that, using a hinge mechanism, lifts upward and, when not in use, presses against the wall, freeing up space. When you need to sit down and stand up, keep balance and lean on it by the toilet or sink, the bar is lowered; and when no longer needed, it is easily raised. This feature is especially convenient in tight restrooms and in cases where wheelchair users need room for a side approach. The bar connects to a strong wall plate via a hinge, so in the support position it holds firmly and reliably bears the load. The built-in toilet roll holder provides extra convenience — there is no need to install a separate holder. (A version without a toilet roll holder is also available.)

The product is made of stainless steel: rust-free, hygienic, resistant to moisture and frequent cleaning. The surface is smooth, comfortable to grip and non-slip. IMPORTANT: since the grab bar is a load-bearing element, it must be installed correctly only on a strong, load-bearing wall. What material and diameter is the grab rail?
It is made from stainless or powder-coated steel tube. The diameter is chosen in the 32-50 mm range so the fingers can wrap fully around the rail for a secure grip. The surface is smooth with a non-cold coating and resists both moisture and disinfectants used in public buildings.

How is the grab rail fixed to the wall?
It is anchored into the load-bearing wall. Separate fixing solutions are used for brick, concrete and plasterboard walls — plasterboard requires an additional reinforcing plate. When installed correctly the rail supports a point load of more than 100 kg and lasts for many years of daily use.

At what height is it installed?
The standard height is 70-85 cm from floor level. In sanitary rooms it is placed next to the toilet and washbasin; in corridors it follows a continuous route of travel.
